What mesh size is 40–60 mesh psyllium powder?
40–60 mesh ASTM corresponds to particle sizes of 250–425 μm. At this size, particles are visible in most finished products. Suitable for applications where coarse texture is acceptable — gluten-free artisan bread, high-fibre cereal, or animal feed blends.
Can 85% psyllium powder be used in gluten-free bakery?
Yes. At 1–3% of total flour weight, psyllium powder binds water and improves crumb structure in gluten-free doughs. At 85% / 40–60 mesh, the coarser particle size may be slightly visible in the crumb but is acceptable in most artisan-style products.
Is 85% / 40–60 mesh powder food-grade?
85% grade is food-grade. It does not meet NF, USP, or EP pharmacopoeia thresholds for supplement or pharmaceutical labeling.

Is 95% / 80 mesh suitable for capsule filling?
Yes. At 80 mesh (177 μm), flow characteristics are suitable for dosator and tamping-pin filling equipment. Moisture should be ≤10% at time of filling. We supply with sealed HDPE liner on request for moisture-sensitive applications.
Does 95% psyllium powder meet NF requirements?
Yes. 95% grade meets the NF monograph threshold. COA annotated to NF parameters available on request. For USP or EP annotated COA, use 98% or 99% grade.
