Psyllium khakha powder is the by-product remaining after psyllium husk is milled and separated from the seed. It consists primarily of the inner seed coat and residual endosperm, and contains a significant amount of mucilage-derived soluble fibre — typically 30–40% crude fibre by weight. This fibre content, combined with 8–12% crude protein and a low-cost price point relative to whole husk, makes it a useful feed ingredient for ruminant and poultry feed formulators.

Feed-grade khakha is specified primarily on moisture (≤12%), crude fibre (30–40%), crude protein (8–12%), and total ash (≤8%). Foreign matter and sand content should be confirmed — excess sand or silica can elevate ash and reduce digestibility. Mesh or particle size affects blending behavior in compound feed manufacturing: coarser particles (20–40 mesh) are standard for most feed applications, while finer mesh (60–80) is used in pellet formulations or where homogeneity in the premix is critical.

Use cases for khakha in animal feed include: cattle and buffalo feed (digestive support, hydration retention), poultry feed as a fibre source, and fish and aquaculture feed as a natural binder. We supply khakha in 25 kg, 50 kg, and 1,000 kg jumbo bags. Feed-grade lots are supplied with a basic analysis COA (moisture, crude fibre, crude protein, ash) and packing list. For buyers requiring more detailed analysis (heavy metals, mycotoxins, pesticide residues), additional testing can be arranged at buyer cost. Share your formulation target and we will confirm current lot availability and pricing.
